Emma Roberts Inspired Sunglasses by Nanette Lepore

Women's Wear Daily recently reported that Luxottica and the Council of Fashion Designers of America have tapped Nanette Lepore as the latest designer for the 2012 Vogue Eyewear Design Series.

Lepore tells WWD that she was inspired by young actress Emma Roberts while creating the cream-colored cat-eye sunglasses.

"I looked to glamorous actresses from the '20s to the present while I was designing and fell in love with Emma,” Lepore says of the starlet. “She’s chic, youthful, and confident in her style. I really wanted to make every element of my sunglasses unique, from the metallic cyan packaging to the inlaid gold filigree on the frames."

The limited-edition collection of frames will be available for $129.95 a pair at select Sunglass Hut locations {and online at sunglasshut.com} in October. Past Vogue Eyewear collaborations have been with Rebecca Minkoff, Monica Botkier, Yeohlee Teng, Devi Kroell, Kara Ross and Matt Murphy.
