This January Nicholas Kirkwood became the first accessories designer to win the BFC/VogueDesigner Fashion Fund, beating out ready-to-wear designers like Mary Katrantzou and Peter Pilotto. Now, the New York Post is crowning him the “new Manolo.” {WOW!!!}
Kirkwood's new collection is full of a playful mixture of traditional, really luxurious materials {python, lace, suede and furs}. I love the innovation in the design of his shoes and from what I've seen, I could definitely see him stepping into that title. See a few of my faves below...
